Answer: SilvrSTAT® gel should normally be changed every 24 to 72 hours, but the frequency will depend on the type and condition of the wound.
Answer: Cover with the appropriate secondary dressing recommended at your institution.
Answer: Ionic silver has a plus one charge. Once an electron is pulled into the ionic silver, it becomes bound and can no longer attract additional electrons. SilvrSTAT®'s molecular silver has a neutral charge and remains unbound stealing and expelling electrons as long as it remains in the wound bed making it much more powerful.
Answer: Yes. SilvrSTAT® gel contains no alcohol and is non-flammable and is safe for use in HBOT.
Answer: No. SilvrSTAT® gel contains only 32 ppm silver and will not stain skin like high ppm ionic silvers.
Answer: No. There are no known or reasonably suspected adverse events associated with the use of SilvrSTAT®.
