Sterile bone wax used to control the bleeding from bone surfaces during surgical operations. Mixture of beeswax, paraffin, and isopropyl palminate achieves local hemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical sealant (tamponade). It does not act biochemically and is minimally resorbable.
