Thoroughly coats walls of root canal and lateral canals without significant cement being forced apically. Reverse spirals on apical end rotate in an unwinding direction out of canal to prevent binding. Unlike thermoplastic techniques, there is no shrinkage upon cooling. Radiopaque for clear X-ray viewing.
